My dad Pete

If our house could have a hero it would be my fabulous father, Pete. Whenever he comes he always helps us with some project. This past weekend's main projects happened to be rewiring cable, putting up shelves in closets and draining bad gasoline from our lawnmower. Below is a classic picture of my father in one of his many handyman "uniforms".

In this picture he is updating us on the progress of the cable project while we played with the new stroller/ car seat. On a side note, everyone can rest assured that my father also has fun when he comes to Lexington. This weekend he and Bret went to Big Blue Madness (UK's first basketball practice where 23000+ fans attend) and the victorious Kentucky vs. South Carolina football game. My mom and I have also found him playing Ms. Pac Man on Sega genesis, which unfortunately my mom has the pictures of leaving me unable to share them with my blog readers.

And to relate this to baby Madison my dad wants to be called "Pete" for his Grandpa name. He claims he chose this because it is easy to say.  We told him no, his granddaughter shouldn't call him by his first name, so of course we shall see what he is called once she gets here.  Only 68 days until she does!
