Father's Day Weekend

Well Bret had a rather disappointing father's day weekend - which I felt awful about, but was out of my control. Bret's sister Jodi got married that Saturday and so we stayed up in NKY that night. We also were leaving for Europe in 2 days and had some major prepping/ packing to do.  So he didn't even get a full day, poor guy!

To recap the weekend, Madison ended up cutting her first tooth the day of the wedding so she was MISERABLE! She screamed the whole cocktail hour especially when MANY people were all up in her face.  All she wanted was her daddy! So as soon as he got to the hotel she was placed in his arms. Since he was in the wedding party, he decided  he was going to be introduced with her, well before he was introduced look what happened.

She fell asleep! She can only get comfortable and fall asleep on him, especially in a strange place with a new tooth.  Poor baby! She did feel much better afterward and it was adorable. Bret was introduced with Allison who was super preggo, who walked in first hushing the crowd, and it just fit very well.  I loved it!

Well that Sunday I had planned for Bret to go play 9 holes and have a picnic after.  Inclement weather ruined my plans and I now owe him a round of golf. The good news was he got to hit some balls when it did get sunny that afternoon. We ended up packing and vegging out.  Madison ended up giving him a poem she wrote and a softball she signed (with her hand print) since she knows her daddy LOVES sports memorabilia. Happy father's day to Bret! Madison truly loves him and is lucky to have him.
