When we bought a 15 year old house we knew it was only a matter of time when we would have to replace the many appliances in the house. We bought a stove when we first moved in, but everything has been pretty quiet since then. But on March 25 we had to replace our heating unit. Ugh. Double ugh.
Our neighbors, the gracious Gayne family, took in a cold little 3 1/2 month old and her mom the night the heat broke and Bret stayed at our house to keep the cats company. $2500 and a day in the cold later everything was finished and Madison could take off her hat.
While they were replacing the unit Madison's goal was to stay cute while staying warm. I think it was accomplished.
To keep it interesting during the day we changed up her hats.
Even made one into a skull cap.
The only bonus to this whole annoying experience was spending the day with Madison when I normally would have been working.
