Poor Madison

The day Bret went out of town, this past week, Madison started to feel under the weather.  She couldn't sleep Tuesday night and by Wednesday morning developed a bad cough so we headed to the doctor.  Ear infection in both ears and bronchitis.  Well my parents came Thursday night to help me with Madison and we noticed she started wheezing Friday. I called the pediatrician and they said it could be the bronchitis breaking up and to come in if it gets worse.  She didn't sleep that night and by Saturday morning her wheezing was even worse. Thank goodness for the pediatrician being open on Saturdays because Madison ended up with bronchiolitis and had to get a breathing treatment at the doctor's office.  It helped so we got to buy a nebulizer for home to give her breathing treatments at home. 

On Saturday we saw our FAVORITE doctor, Dr. Ison. In a large practice he remembers us and Madison loves him! He sang the itsy bisty spider to her and cuddled with her. He is extremely jovial and you can tell he enjoys his job which is a bonus for us. He was teasing my mom and I cause he heard us singing to Madison trying to calm her down during her treatment.  The treatments are not a peaceful time for Madison and she screamed the whole 15 minutes of treatment.  Afterward the nurse said that the babies usually fall asleep once the treatment started, not my child!!!!

At home she did fall asleep after a couple of minutes during the treatments, and thank goodness for that because it is torture hearing her upset for that long.  I am just ready to get my happy baby back. Madison hasn't been talking much this weekend, we think it hurts and that she was a little hoarse. Thankfully, she is back to sleeping through the night and she is breathing better.  All in all she is feeling better.

 The nebulizer is called huffenpuff the asthma dragon. I love the name.
